What Viv said; nothing about the current look of the site is permanent, and nothing about the decreased functionality is permanent either! (For example, you will be able to subscribe to comments on individual posts via email again once we get the site fully up.)

We thought that you would prefer having a partially functional version of the site restored to having no site at all.

This is currently the default WordPress template, which isn’t really designed for the convenience of multi-author blogs.

We’re making a decision on a new template within the next 24 hours. There were a few too many compromises happening with the last template, and it got hacked to b*ggery by the server hijacker, so recovering the tweaks could be far more pain than just selecting another template which won’t need as many tweaks in the first place.

Glad you got everything sorted out!

One issue I’m already noticing with the temporary design: the author name doesn’t seem to be showing at all on the posts, which is… a rather significant omission when you’re dealing with a multi-writer blog. I imagine this will be fixed when the template’s changed back, but it’s still a bit confusing…

A Turkish… flash site… is that what happened? I didn’t check the main page all day.
Well glad to see the site is getting back up & running.

What’s on my mind is that, my mom’s neck hurts, she thinks she has a pinched nerve & if she goes to the ER for pain mgmt insurance will not cover any of it… so she’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see if she can get an x-ray or MRI or something like that to confirm & treat. It’s not responding well to pain meds & at-home care.
